Research Environment (Theme)   “Mathematical Modeling and Systems Collaboration” is one of two basic research profiles of the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Science and Technology

Theme   “Mathematical Modeling and Systems Collaboration ” (MMS) was created in 2005 as the result of fusion of existing research environments specializing on theoretical modeling: ”International Centre for Mathematical Modeling”, (ICMM),     “Centre for Information Exchange and System Collaboration” (CCST) , ”Webservices Competence Center” (WSCC),    and LOIS   space-project.

Mathematical Modeling is well developed research domain at Linnaues University (prev. Växjö University). In 2000 it was chosen as one of 5 profiles of Växjö University and extern evaluation (2004) of this profile demonstrated extremely high records in research – in particular, publication in international journals and realization of applied projects. This profile was extended to improve its application power through collaboration and fusion with our research colleagues in Computer Science (CS).
